How about this little cutie?! This is a 1983 Alfa Romeo Alfasud SC 1.5, UK Supplied RHD, 55k Miles from new and fully restored in recent times. We have a full history including the original purchase invoice and book pack! She is the more desirable 3 door version with the range topping 1500cc engine! Finished in Red with Grey Cloth Interior she must be one of the best available!

The Naples area built Alfa Sud (Sud for made in the south) was quite a departure for Northern Italian based car makers Alfa Romeo when they started producing the front-wheel drive, flat-4 pot 1186cc powered, Guigiaro-designed 4-door saloon in 1972. A 5-speed box was soon fitted and a 2-door version offered. Larger engines of 1286cc capacity were fitted from 1977 until 1980, and then a 1490cc option from 1978 to 1983. By 1983, when replaced by the Alfa 33, a total of 825,301 Suds had been made.

Our car was sold new on the 12th May 1983 to a Mr. Storey of Little Paxton, Cambridgeshire. He ordered the car from Benstead & Pidcock Ltd, the Official Alfa Romeo dealers in Peterborough, by May 83 news of the new Alfa 33 had been released so it was probably more a question of finding an Alfasud in any dealer that had one left! I am sure he got a good deal! We have the original owners book pack and service books will all the original stamps in, plus hundreds of invoices, right up to the present day, in fact over £3k has been invested in the car in the last two years!

As part of the restoration the car was disassembled completely to shell, the 1.5 Engine had already been rebuilt so was serviced and new timing belt fitted, New fuel pump, Carbs were cleaned, Brakes restored by Brake caliper services in Nottingham with new pads all around and flexi brake lines and new front to rear line. New brake pads all round, full respray by jb custom paint, All metal work restored where needed(windscreen front corner, floor drivers side, pedal box under master cylinder) New suspension fitted as per Original spec, New Standard exhaust, Four new tyres, has spare wheel with good tyre. After the restoration the car was given an MOT until February 2023 with no advisories just to show the condition.

The car is now in a lovely condition, not concours, but a nice and bright little thing. The drivers seat needs a clean and there is one or two little blemishes on the body but all in all, I cannot think you would find a better one, especially with the lowemileage from new! The 3 Door SC is a lovely option to a Ti and is a perfect classic daily! We love it!
