We have a soft spot for Series III XJ Saloons here and we have sold a beautiful 40,000 mile car for nearly £8,000. This is a 1990, H Reg, Jaguar V12 Sovereign Auto finished in Silver with Grey Hide.The car has a full and comprehensive service history until 1999 to back up the 57,000 miles covered by the car and has been in storage since that day. This is one of the very last cars made, completely handbuilt, and they have a huge following now! There has only ever been 1 owner from new so it is easier to verify the history. Whilst the car has been looked after mechanically, very little has been done to the cosmetic side of things and the car leaves a little to be desired when taking the low mileage into account. The car has a fresh MOT and is ready for its next owner. The reason the car is so cheap is that there are some cosmetic issues that need attention.

Interior:
Our car has really been looked after well and the grey leather interior looks every part a low mileage car, the seats are wonderfull with only a little wear on the drivers side. The carpets are all good and eveyrthing seems to work as it should. The boot carpet is good and the toolkit and jacks are all present. There is really nothin gthat needs to be done here, it is really superb!

Exterior:
The Silver paintwork has been attended to on numerous occasions and there is a little bit of bubbling in the usual areas such as the front wings and below the rear windscreen. The Lacqer has also started lifting form the doors.The tyres are all good and the wheels are OK, but a couple have been kerbed. The chromework is all good. The car looks great from afar but close up you can see the blemishes that would need attending to if you were wanting a show winner.

Mechanical:
The car has been looked after properly and drives extremely well. The car starts first time and idles smoothly. The gearbox changes quickly and there are no knocks from the suspension. She would probably benefit from a decent service and then off you go! With such low miles there really shouldn't be too much to do.

Summary:
This is potentialy a £10,000 car, the history and mileage and basic car is all there. All you need to do is to attend to the cosmetics and apply a little TLC and you will have one of the best Series III's in the country. Alternatively, if you are looking for a nice SIII but cannot afford a really good one this is possibly the best compromise. The car is Taxed and Mot'd and ready to go and represents extremely good value. be quick before I decide to attend to the cosmetics myself!
